Japan’s No. 1 MDM for four straight years, Optimal Biz,
has been upgraded to version 7.4.0

Including features specialized for iOS 9 and Windows®

TOKYO, Japan (September 16, 2015) – OPTiM Corporation (TSE Mothers: 3694), a leading provider of business-related applications for smart devices, announced that Optimal Biz (Japan's #1※1 MDM※2 for four straight years) was upgraded to version 7.4.0 on September 16, 2015.

This upgrade supports the newest features of iOS 9 and the functions supporting Apple Watch. In addition, Optimal Biz now suports the location data acquisition features of Windows®, so location can now be confirmed on management site like with iOS and AndroidTM. Other new features for Windows® include the Local Lock and Wipe feature which allows a data wipe even if the device is offline, controls for Web browsers and Microsoft® Office, and numerous new security-strenghening features. Also, as an optional service for iOS and AndroidTM, the device can connect to a company server or cloud service with programs such as a mail service or scheduling app, without leaving any data on the device itself. Finally, iOS 9, is supported with iOS 9 GM Seed support confirmed so iPhone and iPad users can experience secure Optimal Biz use with the newest OS.

The new features realize much more secure business use of laptop PCs and smart devices removing worry about security problems such as loss or theft.

・Stronger security settings for Microsoft® Office and internet options

Available update notification

・Able to confirm if each program is up-to-date in one list

Home settings/bookmark distribution

・Home page settings and bookmarked pages distribution can be done from management site

Login button in the task tray menu

・Management site login button added to the task tray menu of Windows® agent devices

Category Filtering (Web)

・Can apply family-safe web browsing filters to managed Windows® 8.1 devices
